Adopt A Kitten
Are you coming?
Find out how to adopt a kitten quick & easy
How do I adopt a kitten and are there any adoption requirements?
After you have decided you want to add a kitten to your family, the first thing you will need to do is choose a kitten that is best for you. Keeping in mind that kittens can be rambunctious, playful and do require more attention than older cats. With that in mind, the beginnings of personality traits can be observed in kittens. Decide whether you would like your companion to be more active, independent, or one that would be completely content to be held and sit in your lap. Once you have decided upon a kitten, the next step is to fill out an adoption application. Once approved, you may then proceed with the adoption fee and set a time to bring your new family member home. You have the option to do this online, or in person, whichever is more comfortable for you.
- Spaying or neutering
- FIV and Feline Leukemia test
- Distemper and Rabbies vaccines
- Gift basket / Supplies
In adoption fee for cats
Although adding a family member does require a financial commitment, we at A Kitten’s Place want to help make your initial transition as seamless as possible.
Included with each of our babies is a gift basket with the food and litter your kitten has been using as well as a litter box and scooper. Depending upon current sponsored donations, we are sometimes able to add toys or other items that your specific kitten enjoys. Additionally, all kittens are spayed/neutered, dewormed, and are current on shots.
